Mike Dewdney

Mike Dewdney is the Director of Cloud & IT at Uptime Legal Systems.

With nearly three decades in IT—and over 20 years dedicated exclusively to serving law firms—Mike brings deep industry expertise and a relentless focus on client success. He began his career as a Systems Support Engineer and worked his way up to become CEO of LexCloud.ca, which was acquired by Uptime Legal in 2024.

At Uptime, Mike leads the company’s cloud and IT operations, overseeing the Central Help Desk and Client Success teams. He also serves as the Product Manager for Practice Next 2.0, Uptime’s next-generation managed IT platform designed specifically for law firms.

Mike is a pioneer in legal technology, having launched LexCloud in 2011 and transforming how Canadian law firms adopt and use cloud services. Today, he continues to drive innovation by helping firms modernize their technology and embrace more efficient, secure ways of working.

Known for his collaborative leadership and team-first mindset, Mike thrives on helping both clients and colleagues succeed. Outside of work, he’s an avid cyclist who enjoys mountain biking across North America and tackling alpine climbs in Europe.
